The 5G network may first start from the metro cities. The Department of Telecommunications has said that 5G service will start from 13 cities in the country. These include Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Gurugram, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Pune, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jamnagar and Lucknow.
In a press conference, the Telecom Minister said that the spectrum purchased is sufficient to cover all the circles in the country. He said that India’s 5G coverage will be ‘very good’ in the next three years.

It is believed that 5G service will be launched at economical rates. Jio is saying that it will first launch this network in the country, but Airtel and Voda-Idea are not far behind. All three companies had participated in the 5G trial and they have demonstrated their capability. For high-speed 5G internet, mobile users may have to pay more money than 4G.
Companies can apply premium charges. However, there is also a possibility of a price war breaking out as competition increases. It is claimed that the speed of 5G will be 10 times faster than the 4G network. This will give people the best connectivity of the internet. It is believed that 5G data plans can be 15 to 20 percent expensive compared to 4G.
At the same time, a report by brokerage firm Nomura said that telecom companies can launch 5G services at a 30% premium. For example, the 1.5 GB daily 5G plan might cost Rs 866 for 84 days, for which Jio is charging Rs 666 right now.
During the 5G spectrum auction, the toughest competition was seen for UP East circle. The UP East circle has more than 10 crore mobile subscribers and there was a tough competition between Reliance Jio and Airtel for the spectrum.The competition to get spectrum in the band of the UP East market pushed auction prices to 160 crore per MHz (MHz), much higher than the reserve price of 91 crore per (MHz). As of May, Reliance Jio had 3.29 crore mobile subscribers in the UP East circle. At the same time, Bharti Airtel had 3.7 crore and Vodafone Idea had 2.02 crore subscribers.
