American electric vehicle startup Fisker is going to make it in India. The foreign company will have its second headquarters in Hyderabad, India. In addition, Fischer plans to manufacture and sell another model of the Pierre electric vehicle locally. In India, the company aims to set up a plant for software and virtual development of EVs.
Recruitment has started in India
Fisker is established in India by Fisker Science Pvt. Ltd. will be known as Fisker has 450 employees in India, while the process of hiring an additional 200 employees has begun. The plant will primarily focus on software development, embedded electronics, machine learning, virtual vehicle development, data analytics. Headquartered after Hyderabad, Fisker will work directly with California-based engineers.

Production will start this year
Fischer is set to start production of its flagship Ocean electric SUV in November this year. You will be surprised to know that it has got more than 40,000 bookings worldwide. The Ocean will be Fisker’s first electric SUV to be built at the company’s plant in Austria. The company’s plant is also a carbon neutral factory.
Specialty
Depending on the variant, the Ocean SUV will come in three trims with either two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The front-wheel-drive Ocean Sport is an entry-level trim with 275hp power and 403km range. The company claims that this entry-level model will accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.9 seconds. At the same time, its fastest trim will be able to run at a speed of 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds.
