What is the opinion of the Department of Agriculture?
The government has removed the mandatory condition of E-Peek Pahani to participate in the insurance scheme. The last date for participating in the insurance scheme is July 31, while the work of recording crop sowing will begin from August 1. Therefore, there was confusion regarding crop inspection record being mandatory to participate in crop insurance scheme. However, the Department of Agriculture opined that there is a discrepancy between the actual participation crop and the crop at the time of inspection. Therefore, this condition has been canceled as the farmers are deprived of the help.
