Google Play Store turns 10 years : Google’s Google Play Store completes 10 years. Google first introduced this ecosystem to the world in 2012. In the last two years alone, the popularity of these apps has also seen a 150 percent increase. India is witnessing popularity in terms of education, payment, health, entertainment, and gaming. Health-related apps are also being preferred in India. Also Hindi and local language apps are also being liked a lot. Indian apps and games have also seen a 200% increase in monthly active users. The new logo has rounded corners in its triangle and has four sections in blue, red, yellow and green colors. This logo is now visible for the users in India.

The company has also disclosed the list of apps that define the generation. This includes WhatsApp, PhonePe, Truecaller, Amazon India, Flipkart, Disney + Hotstar, MX Player, JioSaavn, Paytm and ShareChat. Additionally, Google Play will offer members of its Rewards Program 10x more Play Points on purchases including in-app items. The start date of the promotion may vary from country to country.
