Electric Cars: Auto enthusiasts, get ready for some excitement as the next few months will be packed with action with new vehicle launches. While there will be a number of new SUVs across multiple segments, the EV (electric vehicle) space will also witness exciting unveilings from Mahindra and MG. Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to showcase its 5 new electric SUVs in the UK on August 15, 2022.
The domestic automaker has also confirmed that it will roll out the electric iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 subcompact SUV in September. In addition to this, MG Motor India will soon introduce the entry-level ZS EV Excite variant with a bigger battery pack.
MG ZS EV Excite Electric cars
The MG ZS EV Excite, the entry-level variant of the electric SUV, will receive a larger 50.3kWh battery pack. The setup will enable it to offer a claimed range of 461km on a single charge. It has an electric motor that makes 174bhp top power and 280Nm of torque. With big capacity battery, The new Excite variant can do 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds. The carmaker will also be introducing two new exclusive variants in the electric SUV model line-up.
Electric Cars: Mahindra XUV400 EV
The production-ready version of the XUV300 is being named as Mahindra XUV400. Interestingly, the electric SUV would be taller than its petrol counterpart. The carmaker will source high-energy-dense NMC batteries from LG Chem, which are said to be superior to the cylindrical LFP batteries available on the Tata Nexon EV. These cells will ensure longer range and more power as well. The new XUV400 is expected to offer a range of over 400 km on a full charge. The design of the final model may be slightly different from the concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.
