Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first section of the much-anticipated Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Sunday.
PM Modi will dedicate the road development projects worth over INR 18,100 crores to the nation upon arriving in Dausa. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, with a length of 1,386 km, will be India's longest expressway.
This will reduce the distance between Delhi and Mumbai to 1,242 kilometers. The journey will be completed in just 12 hours, instead of 24 hours, which is currently required.
The Expressway will cover six states - Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. It will connect major cities such as Kota, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Vadodara, and Surat.
